A one day intensive course for those wanting to learn the benefits of a project management approach, and the basics of its techniques.

This course is intended for construction industry professionals and managers, including site agents, who wish to consolidate their existing qualifications and experience with specific project management training. Its intended outcome is an overview and general understanding, and a start made at gaining a professional level of competence. It will assist anyone working with project managers, or working in a project management environment. It focuses on effective techniques and procedures for meeting the client’s needs; avoiding problems and finding solutions; the culture of communication that makes this a practical possibility, and on the systems and tools for the job.

Format

The course makes use of multi-disciplinary teams in case studies and problem-solving exercises. There will be a programme of follow-up study set during the course, which candidates may wish to pursue, in order to build upon the learning of the course. A text book and a reference guide will be issued to all candidates.
